What shall I buy Fallout 3 or Metro 2033?

i just started fallout 3 again! (albeit on 360, same thing though) I love playing the bad guy. heh.. my status is evil marauder whatever that means! ive never managed to play the game through as good.
i was going to buy the goty this time, but the standalone game cost 7 quid so i just bought that. get fallout 3 if you havent already

Fallout 3 is awesome, I'm playing it through for the second time now as an evil character, so much fun, such a huge game.
There's also a huge amount of mods for it too, so even when you've completed the game and all DLCs (which will take you a while), you can still add more to the game to keep it entertaining.

Fallout 3 filled me with a wave of "meh". You just seem to roam around for ages not really doing anything but killing copy and pasted enemies, with a pretty crap combat mechanic. Then you have the vaults which are just carbon copys of each other.
If just didn't seem to have enough purpose, and the pacing wasn't great. That little computer game/virtual reality village was pretty sweet though.

hehe never got enough encouragement to start lol, may have a go after tea tonight, I just seem to have the same "meh" factor I had with Bioshock and Stalker.
Just feel's there is no substance there.
The last FPS game I actually enjoyed was HL2, a whole 6 years ago now.
I did enjoy Batman:AA last week, it was a breath of fresh air!

well i have over 100 hours of playtime on FO3. cant think of a singleplayer game that i have played so much! took me a while to get into tbh, now one of my favs of all time!

Fallout 3 is a decent game, good story, lots to do, expansions and decent gameplay/idea's in it.
Metro 2033, is a tech demo with the most generic/boring story, overly linear/boring gameplay and really quite boring guns in general through looks pretty fantastic. Theres a couple really nicely put together levels but is really nothing special beyond looks.
Fallout 3 is by far the better game, though if you can grab Metro 2033 in a few months very cheap its almost worth playing just to see it, though if theres a demo, you'll probably get the same enjoyment out of it
