"Injunction" on my car :(

Yeah happened to a mates car, gets pulled a lot but only when out of town for some reason. Venture into another town and you can guarantee it'll get pulled.

Wait and see tbh, either nothing will happen at all or you'll keep on getting pulled. If the latter, get another car.

If your mates had been smoking weed in the car, surely you would be inhaling this too?

He used the Bill Clinton method.

Lol, you let your 'mates' smoke weed in your car and wonder why the local bobbies have taken issue with this.

Reminds me of the Ian Wright 'Star in a reasonably priced car' interview on Top Gear. 'Why they always picking on us!?' :D

The police would be doing an awful job if they stopped a car, smelt drugs and DIDN'T mark it to be stopped again. Your own fault

Cheers man, so it's just a matter of waiting to be pulled? And there is no way to remove my car other than buying a new one?

I suppose if it becomes an inconvenience then I may have to. Shame :(

Personally I wouldn't worry about it but don't do it again. I would say the copper was just trying to scare you. Durzel mentions an S59 so you may get a warning letter.

Love the Daily Mail-esque rath from OCUK. Some of the replies would make you think your mates were Irish priests on their way to an orphanage.

But if they did not find any drugs, and the driver was not intoxicated then I don't see it being right for them to mark the car so police can check if the driver is is under the influence.

Sounds like their talking about a Section 59, but I thought they had to issue you with some paperwork.

No I din't get any paperwork except for a stop & search with reasons marked "going equipt" and "drugs". That was it.

I always had you down as the sort who cared about your car.

Obviously not if you let people smoke in it, weed or not.

I care about my car, give it a thorough clean inside every other weekend, what's wrong with smoking? I smoke fags in my car, windows down, ash out the window and I don't see that as not caring for my car

Why exactly?

Seems they had a valid reason to investigate.

Not really, from the post it did not seem like the owner was acting in any way that might suggest to them that he was on drugs or drunk (and passed the breathalyser test).

They had no ground to issue a sec 59, if that is in fact what was issued.
They had no ground to drive his car home, if they suspected he was on drugs then they should have taken him to get a drug test.

True, but that does not mean we have to treat officers disrespectfully.

People deserve our respect until they personally do something to not warrant it anymore.

I didn't say you treat them disrespectfully, I said the police do not deserve respect. Which means you treat them like you would everyone else, but don't go out of your way to help them (or in my case I never bother helping them period)
