Well since I haven't seen any discussion on this particular case, I thought I'd start one up. Anyone here currently looking to buy it, or have had a look and have an opinion it. It can house 365mm graphics cards. These specs were copied of Lian Li's official site. I'm very interested to see what you guys think of this case and whether you still believe the 800D is far more superior :o. We need change people, stop living in the past, hehe. How does this compare to the PC-80B lian li armorsuit gaming case. Which one would you go for? I noticed lian li seem to be selling an altered top part of this case which comes with 3 x 120 or was it 140mm exhaust fans rather than the stock 2 x 140mm fans. Lets hope they also make a nice side panel with one or two fans and a window to accommodate it.

The new internal layout has the motherboard on top of the power supply unit, which allows for easier access to the motherboard as well as more room above, thus larger CPU coolers can be used. The power supply unit at the button of the case is cooled with fresh cool air directly from the outside of the case, instead of pre-heated air from within. This will bring down the core temperatures and extend the lifespan of the PSu significantly.

The PC-A77F is a Full-tower case, which is ideal for the latest graphics cards in combination with the best thermal dynamics. All the internal installation can be done without tools, and is easily adjustable to optimize your hardware setup. Especially in the advent of adding in new graphics cards, equipped with 8 PCI slots, can hold three or more graphics cards, supports CrossfireX and 3-way SLI

The hardware installation with PC-A77F is very easy and simple. The front panel is detachable and they can be removed without tools.

To install motherboard require no tools, use tool-less screw to screw a motherboard on case, easily and quickly.

Superb head room space, ideal for more thermal solution choices.

The old ones better because it has a supplied fan controller and psu space at top and bottom + rear exhaust at top psu with hdd cage.

Tbh, i think the A70F/71F are better value cases, psu in top or bottom as mentioned, and the front of this has too much mesh going on. I tried the mesh covers on the 5.25 bays of my A70F, went back to the solid bay covers as they look much nicer. Also prefer the 140mm intake fans on the front of the A70F/71F.

I don't like the blue lights, too distracting. I also would never buy a case without a door - it makes a big difference to sound. Everything else about this case looks fairly standard, except for the price.

I agree about the blue led fans, i intend changing the twin 140mm intakes on my A70F. The blue is very garish, just gotta decide wether to go with all black yate loons or some black frame, white blade fractal design's.

PC-80 was, still is and will always be just plain Thermaltrashed bling bling version of PC-A77 with worsened cooling. (and even acoustics)
whether you still believe the 800D is far more superior
Never believed it to be special in any way especially for air cooled PC.
Money used for hyping does in no way correlate with actual product.

And it can also take PCI cooling kit for getting airflow between cards.
For some reason that possibility was removed from this successor.

I imagine that's because the mounting holes next to the pci brackets are now taken up by the tool-less card holder kit.

You could still use a BS-08 cooler but in my experience it doesn't make much difference in temperatures.

Those "in slot" coolers are waste of space because of being able to cool only one card instead of creating airflow between all cards.
Like I always say fashion doesn't have anything common with sense and this limiting of cooling options shows it well.

The good thing about the BS-08 is that you can remove the top mount holding the two fans from the outer aluminium shell and attach it behind the hdd cage, similar to the quad fan arrangement on older A70, where there were 2 fans at the front and 2 at the back of the cage.

As long as it's a secure mount, there is no vibration whatsoever. Apart from that, I agree that the BS-08 is useless for its intended purpose.
