TV Election debates - how are they doing?

You'll be all crying for four years if you let Cameron in.

Conservatives never change.

They certainly are, but other people have them/want them/are developing them. Better to have a gun and not need it, than need a gun and not have it? Not only that, but the amount of money the trident system will pump back into the UK is HUGE. Provided its mostly developed in the UK, the jobs and technology we can export out of it will be massive.

This.

You can bet the anti-nuclear people would be the first to cry foul if we did actually need them but didn't.

Gotta love Nick Cleggs favourite line repeated over and over about the other two arguing and being in power between them for a long time. Get over it :/

I've totally phased out from this program:
- lots of "I've met X on the street"; stop telling me a tail and get on with the point!
- dude on the left says something quite clear and tells the other two to stop bickering
- the other two then pick wholes in what he said and then bicker themselves
- dude in the middle continues to have a moon-like face
- dude on the right smiles slightly rudely on occasions

Clegg's doing a lot better than I expected! He does say good stuff yet I doubt they know what they're doing since they might lack experience. Most things sound good on paper though but I bet they're actually very hard problems to solve.

It doesn't work though, I know guys who work on it. It's so ambitious. :(

Yea its highly complex with different hospitals and GPs using difference computer systems that are not going to be easy to integrate. What is stupid is that some trusts (including mine) spend thousands on giving everyone the NHS e-access card thing, but there is not a single computer terminal in the trust that has a card reader to read it.....

Cameron and Brown both, rather well, explained why.

Yes, they both said it was because they were worried about iran and korea as a problem, but by having nukes your becoming a problem yourself. We are making ourselves the enemy of these people, by saying if you dont calm down were going to nuke you!!! Its retarded.
Our nukes would only ever get used after we had been nuked ourselves (we would never first strike), and by then the damage is already done. So they are not a deterrent at all.

david cameron is the most irritable person ive watched on tv. hes horrid. constantly dodging questions and bringing up ''well on the streets i met..(insert ethnic minority member here) '' or sob stories instead of his own opinions

he was rubbish when i caught him on some chat show the other day too
+1, I only thought Trisha could be that patronising! ;)

Out of the 3, I like Nick Clegg, getting rid of Trident and he's also relaxing rules on live music so less venue's will need an entertainment license...

From my point of view Nick Clegg isnt shining very well. He slates the other two paties and says he will do things differently but then never really explains HOW he will and he likes to repeat himself a fair bit as well, "I met someone......" dont care Nick just tell us how you are going to fix things.

Getting rid of our nuclear arsenal is a big no no, its there as a security measure and detterent, getting rid of it will let terrorist states think we have come over all soft and they may well exploit that.

Cameron is coming across as confident and nailing questions on the head.

Brown is well....being Brown ;)

Aaaaarrgghh! Stop calling it respite care! Its not respite care anymore, its short breaks. People caring for disabled people don't see some time away from them as a respite (like something they have to suffer with) all they need is a bit of a break, hence the name change.

End rant!

Start a new thread about this.

You're completely wrong.

It would cost more to end the Trident programme then to continue.

You can't kill terrorists armed with bombs in our own countries with nukes

Just saying :p

But somehow it will have to work surely? Shifting to a computer system is so mcuh better for so many reasons, staff and patients, it needs to work really

How much do you want to bet that some government body loses patient medical data at some point? :p
