Meteor streaks across US sky

I saw this earlier on the bbc website and thought it was rather interesting footage. hope its not a pearoast!

interesting on how bright it was. wonder what size it could have been?

with all the current events going on around the world including earth quakes, volcanic eruptions, and meteors flying across the sky we are headed towards 2012. or it could just be coincidence

It's not the meteor or the fieball that is awesome, it's our atmosphere, it doesn't half do a damn fine job stopping huge lumps of space clag banging into our important bits.

Al give a hurrrahhhh for the atmosphere \o/
