Hi all,

Can anyone know of a brand of decent mens smart trousers?

I'm fed up of buying cheap (not in price!), thin, low quality trousers from places like Next and river island only for them not to survive a wash.

Next do some smart trousers and the quality has always been fine for me. Perhaps you just got a dodgy pair :p

M&S will sort you out if you arent looking to spend too much money, their stuff is pretty well made.

Cheers, M&S is the only high street store i've not really looked in to be honest. Will check them out.

Is it possible to get 'boot cut' smart trousers, obviously not wearing them with boots but it seems all the trousers I've looked at lately go incredible thin at the ankle.
Probably because i'm just used to wearing work trousers with my boots.

Does not compute. These stores are never "cheap" like TK MAxx for example or anywhere else more price minded.

Maybe your wasmachine (sic!) is being set incorrectly.

As much as it pains me to say it, I bought some £20 straight cut numbers from Topman and I was very impressed....Not sure about quality but for me personally, the fit was spot on. More so than the likes of Reiss which generally costs me in the region of £80.

Yea M&S will have some decent boot cut's, probably depends on your store size though.

Ive got some nice M&S Chinos on today :D

Boot cut trousers, now they are hard to find, I much prefer bootcut, I dislike straight cut trousers because they just flap about when walking and makes you look like sideshow bob lower down xD

Not that I have big shoes (size 8).

Hugo Boss, Paul Smith, Valentino etc. etc. Generally a lot better than m&s stuff.

In quality, yes but only if you're willing to spend silly amounts on designer gear. There are much cheaper alternatives often better. Having tried on Paul Smith, Prada and Dior(i believe) in the past, they rarely fit nicely without adjustments.

I agree with Shifty, id rather M&S stuff and get trailored if I want better, can get tailored shirts and trousers for under £100 each.
