How hard is it to install first water cooling system, never done before

I was thinking of it too, tbh you want something better maybe a dual radiator at least, if wanting to do it proper.

Problem is, finding a good case that will already fit everything.. then the loop for good stuff is going to cost £200+ new. Then you have to drain and leak test again if adding anything like another block, at least i think.

i've seen you can easily pay 500 quid out just for a case and the water cooling gear, so its not cheap.

Wait for more informed people to reply

Its as simple and screwing a few fittings into components fitting a CPU cooler that requires a backplate and attaching some tubing, which way depends on compression vs barbs

As far as leak testing the best was is to measure it all up and build the loop outside without components and run of a jump started PSU ( Short green + any black) and letting it run for ~24 hours with something underneath that will show any leaks clearly.

Its a relatively simple process providing you take your time and double check everything.

What about when you change/add a block? don't you have to leak test again? then that means taking all the gear out of your case and leak testing for 24/h once more.

After more blocks added or change then yes leak testing would be required again however if your fairly confident and arent too bothered about having to dry components if you have a leak you could test in the case removing all power to the components

Would distilled water damage anything if it sprung a leak while the system was running?

sorry if i am overtaking your thread CAPTAINBUMFLUFF but i suppose the answers are good for you to know also ;)
