Any of the p45 boards mentioned in this thread will be fine, disable onboard sound and your sorted. If you have a decent aftermarket sound card theres no worries.
I ended up getting a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3LR Intel P45 so easy compared to my old Asus board (p5kc) only one pci-e slot, which doesn't bother me but might others who want to crossfire.

That's what I was thinking about getting. Shame there is no second PCI-E slot, as the board is just what I'm looking for in terms of layout (decent amount of space between PCI and PCI-E slot to accomodate ATI 5770 and studio soundcard). I may want to crossfire at some point.
