My fabulous ship
other than gouging out my eyes, drowning my lungs and surgically removing the inflamed bone in my nose....

anyone know of a good hayfever medicine? the runny nose has infected my lungs, my eyes are watering like the Nile and my eyes are itching like I have fleas behind them.

feel great though.

was really looking forward to a nice meal and cinema tonight but instead I'm bed ridden.

really? you think my gp is going to say something I don't know? I'm not asking for medical help - I'm asking for advice on what other hayfever sufferers take.

 <--- yes that's right
And what if the drugs I took killed you? Or caused liver failure? Or erectile disfunction? Or anaphylaxis? Angioedema? Glaucoma? All side-effects.

This is why the rules exist, I'm sorry if you see me being a forum Nazi, but frankly, I don't care.

I wasn't joking. Suffered for years, as I'm allergic to most types of pollen (amongst a whole host of other things). Then last year was started on immunosuppressants (admittedly not for hayfever lol), and never had so much as the sniffles since!

And I can drink wine at last too :D

I think everyone is different, so there's no real 'cure' as such, but the best thing for me was having a nettle tea or two (one in the morning, one at night) brewed from fresh leaves found in your garden (or wherever you're getting the problem). This alleviated the symptoms completely for me, as long as I stuck to it that is. Doesn't taste so nice at first...

I use Loratadine....but as someone posted...go see your GP :D
Also, and don't laugh, local honey on toast or as a substitute for sugar on cereals and in drinks etc is wicked.....has to do with the pollen in the honey, that's why it needs to be local:D

I've always been told rubbing you nose with Vaseline can help.

Any time I've done it though it just looked like my nose was blocked up with snot. Did stop the hayfever though.

Im on some too, tho not a high dose! Also not for hayfever...!

Done nothing to my constant runny and blocked nose, iffy throat, etc!

yeah go to your GP especially if you live in wales you can get the same stuff that's in the expensive over the counter jobbies in a basic no frills pack for free.

That or you can get the jab.
