As title says, i need a new mouse. The one i have at the moment is getting a lot of stains and the scroll wheel keeps sticking.

I want it for gaming and it must have a few extra buttons, 2 minimum. Must have a scroll wheel. Im right handed.

I'd heartily recommend the mx518 as well. Brilliant mouse, had mine 3 years coming up and like tikkabuhna I'll also be getting another when this one packs in ;)

well the sensitivity of them are good like my deathadder is i think the first version and has options for 450dpi 900dpi and 1800dpi and you can change the settings so you can change the sensitivity without going to the games options etc, great for online gaming like cod4 or counter strike :)

Surprised to see the Deathadder go up in price tbh, bought mine for £30 off my mate, it wasnt even open.

Do these gaming mice make that much difference, especially for less frequent (i.e. less skilled) gamers?

When I come home from uni and have to use my families computers/laptops and I find their mice doesn't have as nicer fit to my hand. Most allow you to change the DPI using buttons on the mouse. So for games you can make the mouse less sensitive for sniping. I only ever used it in TF2 though, most of the time I don't bother. The advantage with them is they're made for gamers so the buttons are placed in a position that is easiest for gaming. It is all personal preference imo.

I recommend the deathadder 100% Only got mine Wednesday but for a couple of clan matchs on L4D2 on 3500dpi with 1000Hz Polling Rate I can own those infected quicker than with my Xbox controller :)

Its worth the £42 and it is so comfortable to hold.

:D I still use mine for gaming on a daily basis for 2 hours. I don't see the point to upgrade, high DPI seems like a gimmick to me.

Im pretty sure my school uses those microsoft mouses. Also read in the paper today that chinese people work 15 hours a day in factories making that exact model :P they sleep on there work benches :S
