If i sell an item online and the other person is paying money into my account what details will they need? and with those details is it possible for them to withdraw money from my account

just a bit worried about getting scammed, thanks

And no, this does not make it possible for them to withdraw money from your account AFAIK.
 
ok, if someone pays by PPG as far as I'm aware paypal dont charge for that but do they charge for me to withdraw it into my own account?

You nearly always need the name as well.


Bank security checks for taking money out are far stricter than those for putting money in, so no, they can't withdraw money from your account. The Clarkson story is more complicated because he supplied corroborating details such as his address. That said, the MM rules suggest that parties to deals swap addresses for trust...
