OcUK Karting Meet - Gathering Interest

Hi all,

I remember a Karting Meet being mentioned in the past, but i'm not sure if anything ever came of it.

This is just a provisional thread, I'd like to see how many people would be interested in a Karting Meet.

The track in particular is here:

This is in Esher, Surrey.

Cost would be around £30 a head, however I may be able to negotiate a group discount - dependent on numbers.

So far looking at Saturdays in June/July

So, who fancies it?
 
If it's run by the same clowns as Daytona Manchester, then count me out.

Awful awful venue, useless karts, and a pretty bad day all in.

Seemed fine when I had a karting day with work, the track in Surrey this is. The karts were fast enough, you wouldn't want to be going much quicker on the track as it's quite twisty and good fun. I'd recommend it.

Count me in, not too far away from me at all and I have an interested +1 if we need more numbers.
 
Looking good so far! I'll throw them an email and sort out a deal for us.

Paradigm - i think the Daytona venues are franchised - i went to sandown park a couple of years ago and everything was great. They seem very capable of handling large groups,too.
 
I went with a group of about 15, no messing about, gave us the kit gave us a briefing and then had quite a few heats of racing in succession and you get a nice printout of all your lap times as well.
 
Sandown Park is nice and local to me too :cool: I've heard good things about the track, organisation etc so should be good :)
 
I've been to Sandown, really enjoyed it. Good track, karts and nice staff. Can be reasonable prices depending what time you go. I'm interested in this! I possibly have some friends who would be interested too ;)
