Very very quick Black Integra at Santa Pod on Saturday...?

Hi all,

I was at Santa Pod on Saturday just gone (17th April) and there was a black Integra (not DC5) running.

I didn't get the plate - But it had a fairly big front mount Intercooler.

Does anybody know about this car? or what's been done as it was seriously QUICK!

I do know it was turboed, not supercharged.

Guy at work went up against it in his modified classic shape STi, and got pretty well beaten.
 
13's for an STi. 12s is quick but not spectacular, last time I was there a silver EG was doing low 11's all day long. Even that is a bit poor, the Honda drag guys stateside make them do sub-10s runs :eek:

Standard STi's run 13's? Not to shabby if so!
 
Id say 12 was ruddy quick for a FWD 1/4 mile, im expecting it to be north of 350bhp for that sort of time with semi slicks?
 
The difference between 11.5 and 10 is huge.

The Corsa is running turbo, with what power and had what work done? I'm not debating whether it is possible, I am saying a FWD running 10s is going to have had a lot of work.

I don't not arguing mate :)

Just saying that it's not witchcraft as some make out just some decent engineering.
 
You'll probably find that up and running that 12.x second Integra will be seriously quick compared to an AWD car doing the same time.
 
you've got to bear in mind what tyres the runs were done on

Cars that run 10 second 1/4 miles on stock tyres are very very few and far between.

If the americans are getting integras to run sub 10 second runs it will be on drag radials which isnt really comparable.
