Anyone work for Citi - Interview tomorrow

Was wondering if anyone on the boards works for Citi, or perhaps even just another big finance company?

I've applied for Corporate Functions - Summer Analyst - Technology, which in itself confuses me but I am taking it is working in the IT dept, well part of it.

Its a telephone interview as im in Korea and if it goes well they will delay the assessment centre until I get back to Belfast, so I am very keen for the interview to go well.

Any attributes Citi look for especially in candidates or IT finance in general?

Im no sell out! Haha its pretty much the only internship going in Belfast this summer, plus it will be good to work for a big company for a change.

Good start Might want to read up on that.

Its typical job description blurb unfortunately. I wish sometimes they would give you a greater insight into daily tasks, what languages you are expected to know and excel at etc.

It will most likely be a generic interview. Be prepared for the following:

Why finance?
Why citi?
Tell me about a challenging situation you encountered in your work experience.
Your professional achievement you are most proud of.
(..plus a few more typical HR questions)
Then be prepared to answer anything about anything you put down in your CV.
"I see here you play volleyball / code java in your sleep / went to Farringdon City College, etc"

As long as you don't answer anything stupid and have a prepared answer for every question, you should do fine.

Please tell us more about how the forums work Mr 2 posts.

He asked a question specific to him and is asking for information specific to his question. Search isn't a magical fairy which gives you what you want 100% of the time. If it was I'd have jelly beans right now.

E: I think he has a vendetta against OP. He has said that in two of OPs threads. xD

was offered it but didn't take it as it sounded like I'd be stuck in a corner doing sweet FA, took a different job doing web dev....as far as I remember, it was years ago!
