How long has it taken Nokia to send a phone back after sending it off for repair

Yesterday my Nokia N900 stopped charging and i have just been told it needs to be sent off for repair. They have told me that i am guaranteed to get it back within 28 days how ever it is usually takes between 10-14 days but this is a problem, i am going away to Africa for 3 months on the 2nd (13 days!). So from your experience how long has it taken for you to receive a phone back fron Nokia after it being sent off for repair?

7-14 days, in my experience.

Same, usually betweek 1 and 2 weeks.

Don't Nokia have repair centres anymore where you can take the phone to be repaired?

I took my early N97 to a nokia care point (who normally do a same day fix if they have parts) and they had to send it to nokia to have the work done, it took about 7 working days and now works perfectly.

Took them three weeks to repair my N96.

My N900 went off for repair today too, wireless module fried - hoping mine comes back before I head back to uni.

I went into carphonewarehouse today, took my E72 in as the c button has stopped working.

Me: Hi can I book my phone in for repair kthx.
CPW: Thats a hong hong IMEI, repair will be 65 quid.
Me: orly? I ******* love ebay.

but yea, they say repairs that go to Nokia direct take less than a week most of the time.

Ouch.

But I hope you're right! Cpwh sent it direct to nokia this morning so I will hopefully have a phone back soon. From what I can tell I might be getting a new phone back which ill hopefully mean an even quicker turn around but losing all my data
