I was in Plymouth recently and a 40-year old black man made the point to me: ‘I came here when I was six, I’ve served in the Royal Navy for 30 years, I’m incredibly proud of my country’.
Sums are clearly not on the curriculum at Eton or on a PPE course at Oxford University

And another bit of fabrication from the Tory leader

I went to a Hull police station the other day. They had five different police cars, and they were just about to buy a £73,000 Lexus.
Actually no, you didn't and they weren't. You haven't been to Hull since August 2009; Humberside Police bought the Lexus IS-F over a year ago for less than £50k and then fitted thousands of pounds worth of computer and comms kit for use by their Roads Crime Section. Humberside Police apparently typically use Malaysian manufactured Proton cars which they consider to be good value for money.

ps - Cameron uses a £40k+ Lexus GS 450h

Never trust a Tory

I came here when I was 6 and SERVED in the Royal Navy for 30 years.. past tense, as in hes already done it, maybe hes been outside for another 4 doing something else?

Cheers dits.

The 'h' is for hybrid right? At least he cares about saving the planet ;)
Not entirely true - Cameron turned down a Government provided Toyota Prius which is even more eco-friendly (104g/km vs 186g/km). :p

Still, I'm sure that the Tories would really, really like to tour the country on Battle Bikes :D

I think cameron meant to say 46 year old and he joined the army at 16.

He looked dead nervous and i'm suprised he didn't fluff up more!

He's going to have to put in a heroic performace this thursday to undo the damage

What David Cameron meant to say was...

He met a 51 year old black man, who had served in the navy for SIX years..

Though he was right about him having come to the UK when he was six years old..

I won't be voting Conservative because Cameron got the ages of a black man wrong.
I suspect that even Eton educated Politics, Philosophy & Economics guru Cameron will know that most people don't have ages

By the time you are old enough to vote, there may well not even be a Tory party :D

22 not legal voting age then?

Vintage stockhausen, ignoring the important facts, focusing on the small mistakes.

I suspect that we are getting a great deal of "misspeaking" from Cameron and will only find out what he actually meant to say if he manages to get into power.

Whatever, I suspect that Cashcroft will give Cameron the sack shortly after the Election and replace him with a more accomplished dissembler . . . incidentally, what HAS happened to Hague, has anyone seen him recently, do the Police know that he seems to have gone missing
