Will 5850 fit ?

I've been on the lookout for a Asus 5850 (3 year warranty ) to replace my 8800 gts but I'm unable to find one anywhere so I though to hell with waiting and pay the extra bit of £ and get the Asus ATI Radeon HD 5850 DirectCU.

My only question is it the same size as a standard Asus 5850? as I have a Cooler Master Wave Silver Mid Tower so things may get tight if it isn't. A standard 5850 is around 9.5 "/24 cm I'm lead to believe but I've seen the DirectCU listed as 11.5 " so want to be sure before I pull the trigger.

Looks like I'm waiting for a standard Asus 5850 then, if it ever comes back into stock.

I've emailed Sales and asked for confirmation just to be sure though, ******** is where I got my original figure have is listed as 11.5" but then they have that size for standard 5850's and 5870's as well, which is not correct?

Standard size for a 5850 is 9.5". My 5850 toxic is 10.125" and is bloody huge. Had to move a hard drive down a bay to get it to fit and even then only just. My case is a normal size midi.

Is your case a coolermaster wave"master"? I had a 5870 in my old wavemaster if your worried about size, if that helps.

I've just received my ASUS directCU 5850 at work - Card length seems to be about 26cm.. so just a shave over 10 inches. Will be trying to pop it into my antec 300 when i get home.

Anyone know how long a 4870 was out of interest?

Aye - the 5870 is a 'snug' fit but went in without any hassle.
