Hey guys, thought I'd make a post here about the new setup I have. Originally had some Altec Lansing 5.1 speakers which were ok but I listen to loads of music so I decided to get a decent setup. Ended getting a Kenwood KA-3020 Special Edition amplifier and some KEF Cresta 1 Bookshelf speakers, really chuffed with the setup! :D Music sounds so much better; the bass is a lot tighter and overall just sounds awesome :)

I paid about £105 all together for the amp and speakers + delivery, probably over the odds but I really don't mind as the quality is just so good. From light music to some heavy drum and bass, everything I throw at it sounds great :D

Everyone should go down this route instead of settling for PC speaker jobbies.

Glad you're having fun with it, I still have a pair of Kef Cresta 1's myself, love them and never felt the need to upgrade them actually even though I did have a better set before them at my old place.

They produce a big sound for their size. Even when playing with the EQ they'll put up with quite a fair bit of bass too, although I keep the EQ off as they sound fine flat (unlike the Altecs!)

Yea I must set mine up one day, prefer headphones though and I just have logitech z4's prefer those because of lack of space.
I have a technics Se-A800Sm2, gale mini monitors, and eltax liberty+3 that never get used completely go to waste.
At the time I bought everything with tuner and kenwood cd player cost me about £900 lol probably worth about £150 for the lot now.
Separates last forever though.
