CeX Fail

Hi guys and gals, today i purchased a copy of skate 1 from CeX as my mate has it and i wanted to play him online, so i walked downtown, got skate 1 (£8.00) and whadaya know skate 2 was in the case. I have been a tony hawk fan all my life and never even played the skate series so should i return the skate 2 and rightfully obtain skate 1??

No, Skate 2 is better, and there's no particular need to play Skate before playing Skate 2.

They use to offer decent amounts for game, the 2nd hand prices are just rofl.

Yeah tell me about it, their service online is shockingly bad. I purchased Fifa09 from them, the copy that arrived was some sort of European Polish version, with no english option! Took ages to get them to refund, although I guess they did also refund the return postage as well.

I remember being wowed by the skate demo never got it but brought skate 2 awesome game just never really got into it keep it mate it's their fault and as people have said skate 2 is probably miles better.

If we're going by the demo alone, skate 1 was better....skate 2 framerate was horrible and the controls laggy

CeX don't seem to be the sharpest tools in the shed.

Can't recall the game, but they wouldn't let a friend of mine trade a game in as it "didn't have both discs" in the case, and that instead he had "put an audio CD in the case by mistake". The audio CD was the second disc. It was the audio soundtrack that was included with the game, but they wouldn't believe it.

The Cex we have here is quite good, i do find that you can go across the road and get some of the things brand new for like a fiver more

I don't really agree. Skate 1 was possibly perceived as being better at release as it was original.

And if it is the PS3 versions, Skate 1 is terrible looking.
