Expansions is 1 thing but tiny DLCs? Oh well, i guess its just increasing the profit margin from people daft enough to buy an FPS on the Xbox Expansions usually at least have a decent amount of content in them for the money.

They don't want to do expansions, because if you've played BF2 and BF2142 you may remember that once expansions came out there was a huge segregation in the community between players who had an expansion and players who didn't. They finally learnt their lesson with this and opted against it. This DLC which may not look as much, isn't exactly about paying for the content itself, but more for paying to support the game, the maps, vehicles and weapons will all come free, so as a good gesture from the players to DICE, we can take what doesn't seem as much, just to help out funding the development and getting all the free content in the future.

The price is reflected in the content provided. A bunch of DLC will cost the same (and probably result in the same advantages) as the single expansion, surely they're just as bad, just one comes in small chunks and one's a huge heap?

Not really. In my experience expansions are usually done on a large scale and the actual effort put into them is generally higher. DLCs are all over the place and range from a complete rip-off to decent value. Oblivion is usually a good example, so is Fallout 3.

We shall see Aedus. Its not as if MS would let them make the DLC on the Xbox anyway so we'll see how it plays out for pc. But powercreep = fail.

Pff, fair point. But its still a lame DLC that clearly offers an advantage (however small for the moment) to people who bought it stands. It'll only be so long till they start offering different camo options for the Recon if you pay for it. May be the xbox atm but...

This DLC will add not just new kits, but will be classed under new classes too i.e.

Assault

Medic
Medic +

Which means with the new Patch and the DLC we'd be able to have 2 kits saved per class. That's kind of awesome.

Yep, where you currently pick your kit load out you will see something like this

Assault

etc etc.

Where the ones with + after it are the new look kits.

I shall buy it aswell, it gives some support to a great game aswell, and it was a bargain for how long ive been playing it anyway, would have happily payed £50 for this game.

if so a kick would have gotten the message across, but to be honest I only need to ask in chat once to not spawn rape and most people will get back to 1 of the flags.

Reflex to this was to quickly launch BC2 before bed to make sure i wasn't one of the ones banned, thankfully i'm not.

It's a shame this has happened, i've always very much enjoyed playing on SAS (and shall continue to do so), but it's always bad when things like this occur.

It's not worth removing your server from the front page though just for 1 or 2 people.

makes no odds to me tbh, I don't need the hassle of it. Its done, the BL is updated but PB isn't restarted until tomorrow. You only need to look at the figures in my sig to see that the spawn rape that ensued resulted in 6 people being kicked and 13 leaving the server, basically killing it for the clan guys that were just coming on and its hard enough as it is running R9 without that happening.
