This is sorted, new question below :p

Does anyone else encounter this with their Bank account.

I had £10 in my account, The TV license was due for £11 direct debit. My bank has charged me a £25 review fee? and then allowed the £11 to come out, which has left me £26 over drawn.

I know I should have had £11 in the account, this thread isnt about that, It's a question asking about this review fee thing. As i've never experienced it before

Depends on the bank as I think Natwest now allow £15 leeway even if you don't have an overdraft.

Banks are there to make money from you though, they're not your friend. They will shaft you whenever they get the chance. Fight it by all means, but learn to expect it in future. :(

There's no overdraft on the account, I Got rid of it a bit back as i used it too often. :p

AH2, I feel daft for asking now :p I guess i just thought if there wasnt an overdraft on the account, I'd not beable to go over my limit :p

I think I'm going to give them a ring tomorrow because from the sounds of a friend who is also with alliance and leicester, they charge £5 day for being overdrawn, Ontop of that review fee.

I dont have any money coming my way until monday :o

My fault I know, But maybe they'll be nice to me and sort me out somehow :D

Explain its your first time, it will never happen again, tell them to expect a big deposit shortly if they don't seem to be moving.

Banks will reverse 1 set of charges in any given period. I know Santander reverse once every 12 months. Give them a call.

I wouldn't have thought saying you have a big deposit in the pipe line won't help.

Banks like money, i'm sure they would like to think you would put your funds in the account with them to and not another.

End of the day, you have done wrong but i'd contemplate changing banks if they were unforgiving over £1 difference.

Hi Guys, New Question. But with it being with regards to my account i thought i'd ask here.

I have a payment due on my account tomorrow, as I was expecting some cash in the account today, Turns out I've actually ended up with a cheque. Great.

Now I gave the long card number, Expiry date, Security code to this company and basically said when 30th comes around debit the account as money is due in on the 29th. Obviously thats not the case now. My question is, With this not being a direct debit and just a debit. The company should get knocked back due to insufficient funds yes?

Eugh, I bet i sound a complete idiot with funds. I promise you this is the first month of financial hopelessness I've had in my life :D

Meh, i fixed it.

I used this magical device called a telephone and spoke to a strange mythical creature called a person.

In the end, It took 2 seconds and all is fine.

Praise be to Yevon
