Best card for Office Dual Monitor

i see what you mean about the task bar. so i do concede that eyefinity could be useful, but its hard to justify an extra 57% cost (yes i know its only £15 but its still 57%).
and of course i only mentioned the whole in stock here thing because this is the overclock UK forum attached to their shop and its in the forum rules not to mention other places.

The rules are to not mention competitors, not to pretend they don't exist. :p

I'm sure most of us have look around if OcUK don't have something in stock anyway.

As for the £15 extra, take in to account the additional task bar, the two best softwares for doing such a thing would set you back £16 for Displayfusion and £26 for ultramon.

I currently use DisplayFusion and it's good, but it's definitely not as good as the windows task bar.

So if you look at it that way, a 5450 actually works out cheaper.

Don't forget that matrox started their Dual Head To Go device specifically for this very reason, and they were a few hundred at the time.

ATi's 5 series have basically obsoleted maxtrox's dual head devices because they're a fraction of the price.

Just looking now, digital DH2Gs are still going for £150-£200, and you still need a graphics card on top of that.

I'm talking about DH2G simply to point out that it's a very desirable feature for office usage and that the ATi card has it which should be a deal breaker against any other cards out there.

i have an ati 2400 pro in all my work machines to run dual screens. all these expensive graphics cards are a waste in a normal office environment unless your running CAD or Photo shop etc

What we're talking about mainly is the usage of multiple monitors where you've got an additional task bar.

<£40 isn't really an expensive fancy graphics card.
