Just got back, a great day as usual, weather was lovely (I got my traditional sunburned head). Really enjoyed my tack session, the Golf was great fun again, it handles so nicely with the 'tweaks' I've done, no understeer at all, in fact it's a little tail happy. Just how I like it

. I even managed to overtake a couple of cars
Thought I'd killed it at one point though, on the second to last lap I mis-shifted from 4th to 3rd instead of fifth, I caught it quickly but half a lap later the oil warning light and buzzer came on, but the engine still sounded fine. I backed off (it was the last lap of the session anyway) and stopped, the engine was running and sounded fine apart from being a little tappety. I let it cool down, checked the oil level and it was fine, started it up again and it didn't sound tappety at all, in fact it's running sweet again.
I can only assume the oil got thin with heat (oil temps were pretty damn high), hence the pressure drop and top-end noise, and the mis-shift was a co-incidence. Running lovely again now though *shrugs*
I took my mini keyring-cam to get some on-board footage but...........forgot to press record.

Overall a great day, really enjoyed it
