Missed Delivery

I got really angry with them just before xmas (DPD) three times arranged a delivery, three times they apparently came to my house, knocked and left a note.

Completely my fault of course.

I didn't realize that they wouldn't park their van outside my house, approach using camoflague gear which is better than Snakes gear out of MGS4, and the "missed you" notes they used would vanish without a trace like the tapes in Mission Impossible.

In other words, there was snow, and they just drove right by three times, and eventually I had to go up and collect it from their depot.

the good old card and run, im pretty sure they've mastered flicking those things into the letter box at 20 paces

The DPD van visited me yesterday with my new Sapphire 5770. He arrived sometime just after noon and beat the royal mail bloke by a few minutes. No probs.

Personally I would've used Royal Mail (no reason, honestly!;)) for that order, just like I did for todays Overclockers delivery which arrived just after nine o'clock. However OCUK's RM postage costs seemed all out of goose for that particular graphics card order.

Loving city link in new place. always seem to come around 10:30ish and If I'm out he comes back early evening. I assume on his way back to depot.

City Link were great for me as their local depot was in Bicester and when their vans came to Aylesbury in the morning, I was one of the first stops. Though of course it could backfire and I would be one of the last stops, if he forgot me. :D

Nope.

They didn't even put in a card, hence my "disappears like MI" part.

They literally drove right passed, didn't even card and basically completey lied. THe driver also wouldn't respond to either the depot, or (after he didn't deliver twice) she gave me his phone number after she still couldn't get through and still the driver didn't deliver, or indeed answer. Pathetic.
