How hard can be it be to sell a car :/

No history, showing 120k & the tax is almost out & only 6 months MOT I'd only offer 400 quid cash for it so it's to dear.
Worst thing about your add though is the No test drives bit as that is how you judge an old motor. I Never buy a car without driving it unless it's dirt cheap.

I'm happy to drive them around in it (which I state), and to be fair driving the car yourself shows you nothing beyond being driven in it with respect to a used car.

As for the history, that is a down side yes, but it's a Toyota so 120k is nothing, and 6 months MOT is plenty. The car runs well, I've fixed up any issues it has had so there is no way in hell I'd sell it for £400. £400 is for broken down bangers

It's actually being on contact with the steering wheel & pedals & seat as you drive that's important, You only get that from Driving it yourself.
rather than put that in the ad I would just mention that if the Dude expects a test drive then bring his Insurance & a large deposit.
personally I'll get a Dude to put his Buy money on my kitchen table & then let him test drive it telling him that "If he Bends it he Buys it" Standard practices amongst men.

That's only important for the "do I like this car" aspect of things, it is not something that tells you whether you are buying a shed or a good car.

It's hardly your run of the mill focus or fiesta. This isn't the first car that springs to mind for many people and the mileage is pretty high too.

You are either being impatient or this is a sneaky way of advising your car to OcUK ;)

120,600 miles, 1992 UK Model, 3 Door Hatchback, Petrol, Manual, Electric Sunroof, Alarm, Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors, 6 Months MOT (October '10), Tax until end of April. Some Service History, BRAND NEW brakes & oil, new tyres. I have a new ALBA CD/Radio to fit to the car, this will be included with the sale (has all the instructions with it). Body in decent condition, no rust on sills. THE BEST WAY TO CONTACT ME IS VIA EMAIL OR TO LEAVE A VOICEMAIL. £650 ONO.

Badly worded, bad pictures. Get some pictures which show the car properly, dont cut parts of it off etc.

How about this;

120,600 miles, 1992 UK Model, 3 Door Hatchback, Petrol, Manual, Electric Sunroof, Alarm, Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors, 6 Months MOT (October '10), Tax included. Extensive collection of receipts, maintained to a very high standard by enthusiast owner, just had major service including brand new brakes, new tyres all round. Recently fitted upgraded CD & MP3 player. Bodywork in very good condition, unlike many this car is rust free. Please leave me a Voicemail message if my telephone is unavailable, unfortunately my employer is not mobile friendly. £650 for quick sale due to company car arrival in coming weeks.

Change the wording to the above, you really do not sell the car at all with your text.

It's better than an old Focus or Fiesta, more powerful too, more comfortable, and just as cheap to run :D (and it's a Toyota, so these engines will run for ever).

And I am being impatient, as I want it gone so I can go and get an MR2 without being left with the Celica just sitting around

EDIT: LOL @ Jez's company car bit

its really not, driving a car and being a passenger are very different when it comes to buying a car, the car could drive badly but be disguised by the fact the owner knows how to treat it to make it seem normal, I wouldnt consider buying a car if I couldnt test drive it before even if its only a £650 car

I wouldn't even bother calling about it as you state no test drivers. Understood if it's a £30k M3 or something but it's a £650 old car, as long as they have insurance let them test drive.

That, plus the no service history (which could easily be an excuse) and as a serious buyer I'd just click back and continue looking.

Better pictures needed as well.

Take my advice, you need it :) Change the wording fitting my text with what is true, or believable. FIT THE CD PLAYER (!), and let them test drive it!

What he said!

What? The feedback you get through the steering wheel and pedals will hint at a whole bunch of things that can be wrong, feedback you won't get from sitting in the passenger seat.

Not at all, You get a feel for how the car has been treated by how tight or baggy it is & how it drives compared to others you have driven of the same age/milage, You can't feel this from the Sissy chair.

I bought my SW20 from the passenger seat and could tell from there and from speaking to the owner that it was a good one :/
I swear I'll just scrap the car at this rate, will probably get just as much for it anyway
