Absolute best bittorrent client?

I loved how little CPU uTorrent absorbed, but I found the rest of my network suffered for it. Multiplayer on the PS3, Wii and X360 was stuttery; websites took longer to load, on other machines and especially on the torrenting machine.

I've now moved to bittorrent. It uses a fair bit more CPU power, but I've got some to spare on this rig, and doesn't punish my network anywhere near as much. In fact I don't even notice the difference in multiplayer, between torrenting and not, whereas with uTorrent it was barely playable.

I expect that will be more down to the default settings for each client, than the client itself.

Another vote for uTorrent, tried loads and found it the best.

Newsgroups are great, but the indexers for NZBs are, mostly, horrible. Even the most popular can be a nightmare to find anything. Torrent indexers on the other hand are nearly always much easier to search with.

Err they are the same client.

You don't need to do that for uTorrent.

IP blocking applications don't protect you from anyone, they're just a complete farce.

Owners of copyrighted materials can see exactly who is in the swarm and exactly what they've downloaded/uploaded from the IP address. They can then get a court order for the ISP to reveal the name and address associated with that IP address.

It happend to my brother for a porn movie.

Funny, I could have sworn uTorrent never required admin rights (its an x86 program btw) and wasn'tt a driver. If you're trying to install it you need to hit the uac admin box once, ever again when running.

If the thing you're trying to install needs driver signing off you ether have something seriously wrong with windows or you're trying to install a virus :D

Ip blockers are useless. You need a vpn to an anonymous proxy like http://btguard.com/ if you wasn't things private. You have to pay for it though. Actually there's better services in Sweden but you'd have to read Swedish :p but they've become hugely popular. True, some won't be legal, but most people there have come to realise many private companies are spying on them when most haven't done anything wrong

is there any harm in having two torrent clients running at the same time?

e.g utorrent and bittornado

I was dl'ing something from a tracker that would not accept utorrent 2.0 (which i generally use) so i downloaded bittornado to dl this one file.

i would now like to share said file, but would also like to use utorrent - is it possible to have both running at the same time or wil it cause problems?
