First chance to try the new client last night, my 2 cents..

The AN94 rocks.
Carl still blew chunks out of me.
Spawn lag was annoying, but I also got poor frame rates until I switched of HBAO (which hasn't been a problem up until now (i920 Rich special + 2x GTX275s).
Knifing is definitely more miss than hit now.
The 40mm grenade launcher is still effective.
I was still being sniped by medics with the M60.

It cant be that hard, i couldbnt get anywhere near you on earlier game last night! :) I take it its very sensitive and that why its hard to get used to, or is it the shape?
 
Well was playing BC2 last night, saw my 1st knife kill walked up behind him, went into
Anthony Hopkins mode > Physco. Knifing the **** out of him what seemed to be for ever, blood spurt's coming out of his kneck and he would not DIE!!!!! :eek:

He was that engrossed flying the UAV, he didn't even notice me, so switched to pistol shot him in the head and had agood chuckle about it. :D

You need to add both the install folder and the mydocs folder to exceptions in AVG if you're getting respawn lag. Worked for me. Christ knows how the hell they managed to break it in such a weird way.
 
not sure if its the update or the lastest nvid drivers, but game feels a bit jerky now, and the m16 is not as good as before, any thoughts on this?
 
few things i hate about BC2 since update

1: takes 4 knifes to kill someone, to prove this i got a friend in a server and i knifed him 4 times to prove this to his face.[ He didnt even have extra armour
2: you cant spawn instantly when a new map starts....ARGHHHHHH i loved having the uper advanage of having latest beta ati drivers
3: both shotguns feel terriably low powered.
4: gol sniper is rubbish now
5: i cant kill as a medic anymore, or assault.
6: takes 4 mines to kill a tank.

I wanna go back to last version :(
 
I definitely noticed a nerf on the M60 last night. No more strafing all over the place murdering anyone in front of you.

Anyone notice it's like a firework show with all the tracer darts flying around, vehicles are sitting ducks now.

I kinda wish they just left the weapons as they were, sure some of them were annoying but you can usually find away around anything. All that needed tweaking imo was the browser (which has been vastly improved) and resupply on the tubes.

Also I had no worries knifing people last night, not sure what peoples problems are with this...?

Ah man, that is great stuff.

I kinda agree with you but kinda don't. I don't mean to specifically target you McGray because you have had some good comments/discussion in this thread but what you said above made me laugh :)

12,000+ posts of moaning about stuff, mainly "pls nerf guns pls" to then get your comment above is classic :D

Personally, I'm a medic whore, m60 only thing I've noticed is that you can't move and shoot it too well now. Crouched, zoomed and well aimed isn't a problem and that's how I tend to roll.

I'm glad they have nerfed tubes/gustavs. It means there are less overpowered weapons to worry about now whilst I'm whoring out my m60 overpoweredness :D I suppose the AN-94 is the new one I gotta watch for, but I think I can take it :p
