I would go for a DC2 as well...although I'm biased. Unfortunately, finding a minter for £4-5k just isn't possible. I spent over £6k on mine.

That might have been true a year or two ago, but you can find a good example these days for that money.

Its funny you separate the UKDM and JDM DC2s. I'd much rather have a 98 Spec JDM, but the insurance on the imports is double that of the UK models for me.

I was basically just going on looks and for me the UKDM DC2 is the better looking (I know most people seem to disagree with that though)

Yes, £5k will find you a decent example, a little patience maybe required though.

I'm actually looking at spending closer to £4k on a half decent one, and using the remaining budget on sorting out bushes etc.

I'd be torn between an EK9 and DC2, but would probably pick the DC2 due to my size.

You occasionally get the odd EK9 dip under £5k, its not going to be a mint example, but why do you need a mint one if you intend to drive the EK9 as its intended to be driven?

Seeing as I've owned two DC2's I would personally get an EK9 given the choice in the OP, but in your shoes I would go for a DC2

Mainly due to assumption if i'm honest, but i'm 6'3'' and 16.5 stone. I just envisage that the DC2 is a bigger car when practically (in terms of driver room), it may not be the case.

Fair dues, I'm quite porky myself so I'm quite concious if I'll fit in one tbh....we'll see
