Make sure you do it in light rain/drizzle otherwise the sun could fry the motherboard!
Keep pets and children at bay, or you could end up with a badger in your pc or worse!

It should be fine mate, i do it all the time. Just occasionally touch the metal on the side of the case to get rid of any static risk.
Stay in the shade. My mate's laptop screen didn't last long in the sunlight.Cheers mate, just wanted some confirmation it would be ok
Middle of a clear field during a thunderstorm is preferable though. Holding on to a 3m metal rod sticking up in the air.

I don't remember, maybe a dell, definitely cheap. I think the sunlight messed with the crystals in the display, they overheated and warped the images on the screen.what brand was the laptop?

You have a badger as a pet?
I guess that's possible, it seems silly that a laptop should break in the sun though, as I imagine there are countries such as Mexico who have far more sun than us in the UK, and I think they'd be pretty annoyed if a laptop could not be used outside!I don't remember, maybe a dell, definitely cheap.
