ukip is the party that offers me what i want.

out of Europe! an instant £45m saved each and every day.

I think you have been reading some serious UKIP propoganda if you think being in Europe is costing us £45m a day

But whilst I dont agree with your choice of party I would agree that being out of Europe would be my preference.

Voting conservative is like voting for your own death.

Do none of you remember the 80's when the Tory government totally messed up our country, as soon as they get in they will raise taxes, national insurance and the rich get richer.

They will never change and that imbecile Camoron is the second coming of Thatcher.

winter of 1978–1979 thats labours legacy and it will happen again if labour stay in

Labour absolutely wrecked the UK until they were voted out in 1979 yet they were voted back in 18 years later with a lick of gloss paint.

We pay about £40m a day to the EU, but this excludes our rebate. I think the rebate is ludicrous, anyway. It'd be cheaper for us just to hang onto the money

The message I've been trying to get across is that people should spend some time thinking about the issues, select their preferred candidate and above all else vote. Even if you can't find a candidate you agree with then please still vote and spoil your ballot - don't let the political class write off your views as apathy.

I've made no secret that my preference is for the LibDems at the moment, but I view votes for other parties as equally valid points of view that I just happen to respectfully disagree with. My main concern right now is the apparent effort by the bulk of the mainstream media to subvert the democratic process by spreading lies in order to benefit their preferred candidate.

Dont get me wrong, I will be voting. I've always voted over the course of the decades. My wants and likes match up with a particular party and thats who I will be voting for.

(Just wont be paying any more attention to election threads on OCuk as there are quite a few fanatics here who are more pro their party and anti everyone else than some of the actual party politicians !)

If the Tories get in this country will turn into a wasteland, you better pray they never see power again

They won't have to, it's almost a wasteland now. If Labour team up with the Lib Dems the IMF will be here within a year.

i think theyre all turds. im only going to vote to keep bnp out (and probably conservatives too but i dont care about them as much)
i dont agree with any of them in their entirety.... so its the lesser of two evils. who i think will **** up the country the least... as to that i have no idea

Given that Labour (one of the two evils) has already messed the country up, the only other lesser evil is Conservative?

i think conservatives have messed up the country more then labour in recent years. were still suffering their screw ups.
the reality is theyve all made a mess of the country at one point or another. i just dont agree with the conservatives on more levels then i do with the other partys
and im not sure wether there is a third evil or not ! :D

Right - but one messed up the country 30-40 years ago (and then proceeded to fix it, effectivley), whereas the other has messed up the country in the last decade.

again even if we ignore everyones transgressions over the years, i still disagree with the conservatives more then i do the other two.
and im not sure about 'fixing it effectivley'
bear in mind conservatives (and this may be misinformation as i wasnt around at the time) began the delimiting of the banks.. labour just made it even worse. plus the global recession was going to happen anyway thanks to capitalist america

Labour have had 13 years to right Tory wrongs and seemingly failed.

I didn't actually agree with what anybody was saying about immigration. What's more is that i was shocked to hear Cameron being the only one to say how much of a positive impact immigrants have had on the country.

The Lib Dems system is logical but doesn't really deal with any problem, and takes away freedom of choice.

Labour's system sounds suspiciously like their plan to get out of Afghanistan, train people up so we don't need to use people from other countries. It sounds like they want it to stop altogether, which is just stupid.

The Tory 'cap' is yet more stupid, on a number of levels i'm sure i don't need to go into with you.

What's more is that nobody even mentioned people coming here seeking asylum. They all just made it sound like they would turn them away and force them to live in their country ruled by a dictator where they would probably be killed for attempting to leave, or some similar situation to that.

But i must say, Clegg responded to the questions on his nuclear policy a lot better than i thought he would.

I used to think this. But then I realised there will still be no cap in EU migration. We get the best of both worlds, that way? Some control over the overall influx, and the EU migration will control itself according to the job market.

Seems to be standard practice to harp on about what happened over 13 years ago and turn a blind eye to what has been done in 13 years by the current government. What matters is this awful record and nothing else.

I bet many of the people going on about the previous government were probably running around in junior school at the time.
