Help with web design work

Hi guys, I'm currently working on a Radio project and I need a website to accompany it. The one that I have made is pretty pants and was told that you guys could help me out.

If anyone is willing to design a site for me I'd be really grateful. I already have the items and text that are going on the site and just need some help making it look the best it can be.

Although I cant offer you much in the way of payment you will be credited for the work where ever it is published and submitted for festivals etc.

Also I must point out that this going to be a rush job i.e. It needs to be done by the beginning of June, I know its asking a lot but I've heard nothing but good things about this community of designers

I'd be surprised if anyone will design you a website for free, maybe a student or someone wanting to beef up their portfolio if you'r lucky.

If I was in your shoes I'd find a good, free theme for Wordpress and just use that.

Rent some hosting & a Domain name (vidahost or TSOhost ~ £20 a year) Upload Wordpress, upload chosen theme for wordpress, add pictures & text and you're done.

In seriousness, you get what you pay for. You probably will get someone who's portfolio building or a student to do it for free (or little cost), but don't expect anything amazing.

Also, how do you intend to maintain this site? Is it the job of whoever does it for free? Taking more of their time.

My advice would be to come back with a budget and get the job done right. Failing this do it yourself if you're trying to save money.
 
How many forums have you spammed with this request? You might get lucky but generally you get what you pay for.
 
Despite my 'foolishness' some has offered to do as it they want to start freelancing, that's what I was hoping for, so I no longer require anyone thanks. (ps the fb linking was intentional, a friend suggested I wouldn't get far otherwise) :)
