Aerial cable

Go to any local electrical shop and tell them what you are doing. Will be cheaper than going to that catalogue place.
Even Wilkinsons has the required parts!

Speaking of the local hardware store, mine at least. The coaxial cable they sell for aerials is so crap it's almost funny. I got some cable, the stuff used in sky installations off the famous auction site for a long run to lower rooms in the house. Just noticed Argos also sell that cable at more than 2x the cost, thank goodness for the popular auction site. :p

Yeah, the stuff in our local one is just bog standard rubbish too!

Whilst installing Freesat at home I re-did all of the TV Aerial cabling with Webro WF100, soo much better than what was used before!

Its not just if its double shielded or not (And yes satallite cable normally is..), but "cheap" generic TV Coax is generally badly shielded, to save money there is very little copper in the braiding, leading to big spaces between the braiding, which really reduces its ability to shield the signals.

To be honest, if you want to be able to receive decent quality freeview "digital" your better off using satallite spec coax for all TV feeds, both terestrial and satallite. PS. that Webro WF100 does look like its a good choice too.

I'm highly sceptical. And the way that it doesn't mention a cable grade and concentrates on it's goldness doesn't help. Probably harsh on that one but the word "Monster" is in my head after reading it.

Actually, the bloke from SatCure wrote something relevant: "We do not stock gold-plated "F" plugs. If the gold plating is thick enough to be useful then it makes the nut section difficult to tighten. And there's no way to gold-plate the copper centre core of the cable, so a gold-plated "F" connector is just a waste of money. Nickel plating works just fine."

Tart :p

All the stuff at home is WF100.

Brown from the roof Aerial to masthead amp and from masthead amp to distribution amp.
Red from the distribution amp to each TV wall-plate.
Yellow from each TV wall-plate to each tuner (I run them all seperately rather than loopimng through each device). TV wall-plates use F-connectors so the yellow short length of WF100 has an F-plug on one end and a TV plug on the other.

White from the satellite dish (80cm clear polycarbonate) to each satellite wall-plate.
White from each satellite wall-plate to each tuner.

Took an age to do! Wish I'd done it before we had the cavity-wall insulation put in.... but I managed it with fishing wire!

EDIT: Nearly forgot, CAT6 I chose grey.

All mine terminates under the stairs so I just ran green WF100 everywhere and labelled them up. I did pick purple LSZH CAT 6 and blue van damme speaker cabling.. it's like a multicoloured jungle where it terminates haha
