A German Shepherd named Buddy saved his owner's home by guiding emergency services to the blazing building.

But it was at night in the middle of nowhere. Surely the fie would have illuminated the sky?

I think the dog meant they got there before the flames burnt the house down. Dense forest would cut off the sky line if approaching from a lower height then the house I guess
