Hi.

Basically, some nights I'm trying to sleep and my flat mates are making a racket, they're having a flat party on Friday night and I need to be up at half 7 in the morning.

Need something to drown out the noise as I can't complain it's a Friday night. Is there anything like ear plugs that can do a decent drop of drowning out enough noise that I can get to sleep?

Thanks
Will.

Without hesitation Bioears from Boots for under a fiver. Absolutely superb (made of wax) that you mould to your ear canal: reusable ;)

its designed to reduce noise you hear by that much, although it can vary a bit depending on how you wear them and the shape of your ears etc

I use a set of etymotic er20 earplugs. Had them years from when I had my first band.

Comfy and basically unless they're blasting it a few feet from your head you won't hear them.

When my sisters family stays (bunch of pet elephants!) I use laser ear plugs, if you do a search on ebay they come up as the pink and yellow ones.

They're brilliant, I can't hear a thing with them in.

Ok my snoring is really bad, I feel sorry for the neighbours nevermind the poor love of my life lying next to me. You think ear plugs would help her? Obviously they will to some degree, but another problem would be sleeping past her alarm, anyone got any ideas for wake up calls with ear plugs in?

Set her mobile alarm to vibrate and put in under her pillow etc:)
