Good ear plugs?

I get the same problem with sleeping at times, what are these "Spark plugs"?

Can anyone link some to buy or something? Cheers..

Ear plugs may not do you much good if you/they have a half decent stereo - I can tell my housemate playing online wargames not from the noise but from the bass - mainly the drone of the tank tracks.

Low frequencies are felt rather than heard, so theres no getting away from it apart from having a word with them.

With music, theres no chance ear plugs will help. (unless the sound system is crapola)

Or for a free solution stick needles in your ears a little painful but is guaranteed to have a high noise reduction capability.

Yes mate no problem we use them in work all the time I will grab you a few bags and post them to you. PM me via trust your postage address and as for cost never worry as I doubt it will be very much :)

ocuk is awesome for people sending you free stuff to solve problems :D

I got some of the spark plugs others have mentioned from ebay. I think it was about 50 pairs for 7 quid and they are brilliant. One of the guys i work with now also uses them as does my dad. for me they drown out everything but high pitched sounds (fire alarms, phone etc).

I struggle to get to sleep if i can hear anything as i just concentrate on it, unfortunatly that means clocks and the wifes snoring. Plugs go in, i stay asleep until the alarm goes off in the morning.

My mum said she had tried a pair but that they didn't work, i looked at her a bit funny and asked how she put it in and she had just literally tried to push it into her ear ><. You gosta roll 'em!

Foam ones are good as they're comfortable for long periods and block enough noise to get some sleep but not so much you miss the alarm going off. Many places sell this type including Boots.

How will you hear the alarm in the morning?

If I set my alarm for 7:30, I wake up between 7 and 7:25, if I set it for any other time the same thing applies.

It does not matter if I still can hear bits of sound, as long as I get 5-6 hours sleep that's ok, I'll just be abit slower on my bicycle until I wake up and have energy.
