Has anybody else been watching American Dad Season 5? It just keeps getting better!

The latest episode Stan bullies his son Steve on purpose to make him stand up for himself, its just classic. Some really good laugh out loud moments.

Anyone who was put off because of the early seasons of American Dad should really give 5 a watch, its hilarious.

I find this show hard to get into, my gf nailed it through 1-3 but I just can't enjoy it as much as Family Guy :(
 
It's not as good as Family Guy but it's still watchable.

I tell you what's really taken a nose dive (again!) and that's the Simpsons. The latest ones (season 21) are just crap.

Yup

Simpsons is just painful to watch now :(

They need to either stop making new episodes or get new writing staff in.

I'm not too sure it's the writers fault, they've just been around for so long that there isn't much else to do. I guess they could try and get episodes to follow each other in some way but it would ruin it if you missed an episode.

+1 so true.

Family guy up to about S6 or so was generally pretty good. It has started decreasing in quality I feel.

American Dad started off slow but S4+5 are really top notch stuff. It seems to be getting better as it goes on.
 
Where can I watch Season 5? I have the first 4 on DVD and they're brilliant. People compare it to family guy a lot, but the sense of humour is different. A lot less in your face and provocative, and doesn't rely on 'it's like that time when....' etc.
 
American dad is great, far better than Family Guy imo. Family Guy started out fine and went downhill rapidly, American Dad started out a bit slow and has gotten better and better.

Is that legal? I don't really want to contribute to cheating the makers of a show I really enjoy out of anything. I meant more if it was being aired in the UK atm.

I put it this way, I already pay for a service (cable/tv license) which shows it, but I prefer to watch it on my pc.

agreed.

although i generally prefer AD more as a whole due to it actually having some form of structure to the jokes, FG's jokes for a large part of the time, have sweet fa to do with what is going on at that particular moment...
 
im really loving american dad, its so much funnier than family guy.

plan on watchign it from the begining once i get through south park which is so much funnier 2nd time round now i get it :p
 
recent family guy has been rather bad, While american dad has been getting better. The latest episode was amazing i thought. Stelios STELIOS.

American Dad > Family Guy

In my opinion :p
It's very close, as they are both hilarious - but I think American Dad definitely makes me laugh more often :p

Have only seen up till Season 3 - so have two seasons I need to get up to date with :D
