ati hd 5850

looking to upgrade my 88000 gtx,i heard that the ati cards are better is this true? looking to get the ati 5850.
only getting 30-50 fps when playing bad company 2 my pc specs are
quad core qx6850 @3.00
ddr2 8gb
xfx8800gtx
do you think getting the ati 5850 would help my fps if so what the best model to get been looking at the xfx one can anybody recommend one?also i heard that ati cards have slower loading times on bbc2?

Aye, the 5850 is by far the best card for that money at the minute.

I would suggest getting the ASUS version as it has a 3 year warranty and its BIOS is made for overclocking.

As for slower loading times, I heard that was an issue with all DX11 cards in BFBC2.

Drivers are out that have fixed the loading times, leaked versions anyway

Upgraded from 8800GTS to 5850.

Awesome upgrade tbh. deffinetly bang for buck

thanks m8 but that one is not in stock,i going to order by tonight so i can have it for Thursday been looking at the HIS iCooler V ATI Radeon HD 5850 Turbo 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card or XFX ATI Radeon HD 5850 "AVP Edition" 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card what do you guys think,or is there a better one

In that case, this one is in stock and also great. Its a bot more expensive than the XFX one, but imho the longer warranty and better cooler are worth it.
