** Steam Deal: GTA Vice City only £1.50 **

I'm having problems getting this to work with windows 7 64,the game loads fine but when i click launch the game it freezes on the "Marco's Bistro, liberty city 1986" screen. But for some strange reason if i have an internet explorer screen open the game will work fine?

Windows 7 Ultimate 64.
Going to fire it up now & see how it goes.

Quick question as i'm not at home - how big is the download? (As in could someone look at their download total in Steam, not just C&P the sys req hard drive space)

Edit : Having issues here too, Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
It launches fine, shows the loading screen then asks me for a CD. :/

There will be a lot of 'missed it' post with 2 hour sales. It is a bit short. it is 1.5gig. a 75% off San Andreas deal would be £3.49:cool:

Lucky bugger mine peaks at 202 KB/s :o

well ive had my fair share of phone calls to o2, and some bt work on the line. its resting around 365kbps at moment and ive had it up at 420kbps which for 4km from exchange on cheapest package aint bad.. but they did summat on the weekend moved me from adsl1 to adsl2+ and i lost about 75k to 100k ! should be faster but i guess adsl1 carries better over distance..

ringing them again tommorow :D

stupidly short really... how often do people check the store homepage? I found out by looking at the news, but I was too late (playing games). oh well, £30 for lots of rockstar games is good enough for me

I think that's exactly why they are short.

It creates a lot of hype and excitement but then a lot of people like you who miss them will just decide 'oh the £30 package is pretty good' and spend £30 instead of £1.50 on 2 or 3 games :p

I just signed on to steam to try to buy it and a popup came up saying 'You have a gift!'

Turns out one of my good friends was feeling kind and gave it to me as a gift :D

bought. I have the CD's already, but I like having games on steam, as CD's get lost and scratched... £1.50 is well worth it!

ive got a problem with it so far.. everything is fine on my lowly 8600gt @ 1080p its like 60FPS+

but the verticle mouse movement is extreme and it doesnt improve by lowering the game settings sensitivity.. anyone else got this?
