Hey guys Im getting a HD5770 for my board I was wondering how i would use the 8800 alongside the 5770 as a physics card.

Also if its even worth the effort in doing so?

Appreciate the replies guys.

Also while im here lol.

I got a BenQ 24" HDBL screen to go with the 5770.

What type of Dvi-D cable do i need to fit between them both? Any male to male?

Yeah i want to get one from this site i just need someone to maybe suggest the right cable to go with both items.

I was looking in the thread appparently the screen does not come with a DVI cable only a DVI > VGA adaptor.

Look you may as well spend the 10 minutes putting the 8800GT in and setting up physx.

It's rather nice in Batman and Metro. Not saying worth buying a card for (I just have though) but no point in getting rid of yet though without trying.

Of course other advantages include CUDA and f@h

Ahh okay sorry Il remove the link guys apologies.

I hope it does come with a DVI-D cable ill have to order one otherwise im just wondering can i get any DVI-D male to male cable?

Also Id like to try using the 8800 as a physics card i just dont know how to do it which is why i was asking really.

Any ideas?

Does it have to be a certain 8800GT, sorry to ask as I've got access to a 8800GTS 320MB, just wondering if it has to be a certain type...

I seem to remember there being a thread on here with details on how to add a NVIDIA card along side a ATI card for PhysX usage...

I'll see if I can find the thread... Also, most BenQ monitors do not come with a DVI lead... I know mine didn't..

Any digital single DVI cable will do... You'll not need a dual link DVI as doubt the screen will handle a screen res high enough to take advantage of dual link.

Hybrid PhysX support...

Thanks bro :) Im not sure I have myself a BFG 8800GT OC which ill be attempting to use for physics.

So any DVI-D to DVI-D aye? :)

Appreciate the link Tecman!

Yep... You just need a DVI cable that'll handle whatever the highest res your screen will handle.. In your case, 1920 x 1080 HDTV.

Will do the trick, or something like this...

I too have a 8800GTS BFG OC but never actually tried to use it along side my 5870 Vapor-x.... Maybe one day, however at the moment quite happy with what my 5870 gives me.....

Good luck, enjoy your gaming.
