Had a lens clearout (Tamrons are gone) leaving me with the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 and the nifty fifty. So I've gone for something which fits in the line up nicely. All I'll say at this moment, is that where the nifty looks puny on the 1D, this certainly doesn't!!!

No, second hand. I was about to buy a white box 24-105 but this came up for not much more

Coupd of test shots and it is in a different class to the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 I had. Which is a relief!

Actually I find that it's a well balanced combo - actually all the L zooms and the non-Super tele L primes all feel good on the 1-series.

Now go shoot in the rain. Because you can.
