I was just wonderin which had more power as i want to use it for a 3x1080 res which would be faster at this res?

one more thing would going tri sli help a lot with it being 1 gpu per 1080screen ?

thanks in advance

the 5870....

Actually considering a gtx295 is basically 2 underclocked gtx275's.
And 2x275's are faster than a gtx295, and a gtx295 is slightly faster than a 5870 (or was)
The 2xgtx275 should still be faster.

Although it may be neck and neck with all the recent driver optimisations.

Its not as easy as that, either with the triplehead adapter or eyefinity they all still go into one card.
And with Nvidia new Vision , from what it also doesn't work this way(?)
As its more a less SoftTH, dont quote me on that though.

The 275 SLI will be faster....however for a 3 monitor setup you should just go with the 5870 as it has eyefinity. Or 2 5850s in CF...or a 5970 :)

iam just waiting out on a the 3d surround drivers to test them out and see how my gtx 275's perform on ultra wide screen :D

They'll completely bottom out.

Don't forget that using 3D cuts the performance in half, add another two monitors and games will be utterly crawling.

You can expect it to crawl really... unless you turn the AA right down, even ignoring the core performance the 275s don't have enough VRAM for large multi display resolutions at high settings with plenty of AA in some of the latest graphically intense titles.
