Celebrity Rape

Solano chat up line: "I used to play for Newcastle but they went down, so now I play at Leicester, I'm famous do you fancy some sex"

Girl:"Girl, no who the **** are you"

/Solano brings out the rape

Has there actually been a footballer found out to be true of rape, surely they wouldn't be that stupid, and if the one he found and took to a hotel room said no he could just go get another one at short notice.

By "rapped" do you mean:

Across the knuckles?
Immortalised by some gangsta speaking-singer (showing my age here as I don't know any)?
Or is it you can't spell and have a completely unethical and juvenile viewpoint?

I am rather curious.

:D

Many criminals are stupid or do stupid things as part of their crimes.

Your "just go get another one" argument only applies if the motive for rape is just not being able to get consensual sex. That's obviously not the case, because most people can't get consensual sex every time they want it but don't rape anyone.

Rape is always going to be one of those crimes where it is hard to get a conviction as it normally comes down one person's word against another. In that instance you are normally going to have to find the person innocent.

Was expecting a new game show where members of the public get to rape Celebraties, I am disapoint..... :(

Not guilty in court doesn't mean they didn't do it. Rape conviction rates, as have already been pointed out, are really very low in this country.

If I was a footballer I would find a girl, go on dates for a year or two, marry them then have sex with them.

That way you can never be accused of rape!

A good old fashioned way of doing things but not all that brilliant for the people who like instant gratification. Do you do all your courting this formally? :p

Or get them to sign a consent firm before hand :p

I've never tried but I suspect it is a bit of a mood killer - legalese is very rarely sexy and getting people to give their consent might suggest you are about to do something they'll potentially find unpleasant/harmful. You could follow the example of a famous jazz musician who used to photograph himself and his partner for the night naked in front of a mirror to waive off allegations of a lack of consent but even that is quite a bit of effort.

Its always rape or even cheating like in the tiger woods case. Never heard what he actually addmitted but how many girls said he was sleeping with them? Im sure it was like another popping up every day lol.
The media make things sounds worse then they are anyway.

And both points you said are probably true, celebs get away with so much more, especially with 'little crimes' (not saying rape is a small crime)
Though if celebs go to jail i swear they don't get the sentence what 'normal' people get.

And yes the woman being attention/money seekers.

Not guilty in court doesn't mean they didn't do it. Rape conviction rates, as have already been pointed out, are really very low in this country.

An accusation also doesn't mean they did it. There are a whole variety of issues that could cause differing interpretations of the event by the parties involved. We are, frequently, talking about subjective interpretation of events, and it is quite possible for both parties to genuinely believe they are correct in their interpretation of the events. (For example, the Jack Tweed case, which has now ended, I'm far from convinced the accusation was false in the victim's mind, her testimony made perfect sense, however, as she testified, she never raised her shift from willing participant to objecting to the men in the room. As such Tweed's statement also made perfect sense, as did his genuine belief that he had done nothing wrong).

Rape is never going to have high conviction rates in a society where promiscuity and one night stands are the norm, due to the nature of the crime, and the subjective nature of the accusation. It isn't a crime of action, but a crime of consent, and short of demanding everyone gets written consent with witnesses, there's nothing that can really be done.

Its also worth pointing out that not everyone convicted of rape will be guilty, though more often than not as a guilty is hard to get so often a lot more evidence was available, however, witness's can lie and a really determined "faker" could do all manner of things to make it appear more realistic.

Its a horrible crime but very hard to prove unless someone actually catches the "no" on camera its almost all he said she said.

As for stupid footballers falling for it, I'd imagine there are quite a few footballers who get it thrown at them and would be banging several different girls a week, if someone is getting with a new girl every few days, for a couple years, and 99.9% of them are just happy for a bit of fun, how would you expect any single girl to be different to another and cry rape after.

Chastity belts being reintroduced, with a lock that can only be unlocked wirelessly with a call to the local police station to confirm they are up for it, only way to be pretty much certain of safety.

Chastity belts can't be reintroduced because they weren't really used in the past. They're largely a Victorian-era myth, maybe used during that time to stop people masturbating. The old stories about their use in medieval times, with ladies locked into them while thier husbands went on the crusades or whatever, are fiction.
