If cameron said this i wouldn't try to defend it, i'm impressed you think this is defendable
Yet again, you betray a tremendous ignorance, I have not tried to defend it for even a second. It's sickening to hear people saying that the politicians are evading talking about the serious issue(s) (which they are), then to hear how much of a big deal is made about something as pathetic as this.

People that do so are doing nothing other than making the possibility of serious debate even more remote, and make the election even more populist.

I'll be honest about what I would have done, had it been David, I would have lolled for about ten minutes but that would have been it. It would not have effected my view of him as a politician, of his politics or anything of the sort (I'm certain that he has said similar things when leaving press conferences, they've just not been made public).

It hasn't affected my view of Gordon Brown - just confirmed it; that he is useless with people, has a bad temper, is paranoid and is completely fake.

Let's be honest, were it David who had said such a thing the left wingers of the forum would be up in arms and we wouldn't hear the end of it. Thankfully, he doesn't seem to have a problem dealing with members of the public :)

It goes deeper than the simple comment though, it shows the contempt Gordon Brown shows for the opinion of voters - indeed a (former?) Labour voter.

Biggot or not - this was her opinion and he should respect that.

Poor Gordo.

*snigger*

I don't actually expect much play from this, I don't think either Clegg or Cameron can exploit it without setting themselves up for a fall. But the media is going to have a party.
