I got yet another nice bit of propaganda from the Conservatives this morning, and was not happy. At the bottom it states "promoted by Alan Mabbutt..." and after a quick google I found his email address to be [email protected]

Thus he got a friendly email of

(My name and address)

Dear Alan Mabbutt,

I have sent a number of letters to your 30 Millbank address requesting to be removed from the mailing list. Having received another piece of Conservative party rubbish through my letter box this morning I felt the need to attempt communication again.

Please do not send me any more mail, of any kind, ever.

Kind regards,

(my name)

Very satisfying. I highly recommend it.

My colleague told me an ingenious way of dealing with these. The ones where they ask you to fill stuff in and post it back to them, just take one parties propoganda and put it in the envelope for the other party and vice versa, after all, they pay for the postage.

Doesn't work for the normal crap that you get though.

You could also ask them to refrain from sending any mail without throwing your toys out of the pram.

I sent them two letters without hearing anything back, so decided to send an email.

Very good :D

Libdem ones around here are the worst. A friend got a letter with the phrase "In some areas libdems are the only chance of beating the conservatives" mentioned 6 times.

Their office is just round the corner from me. I might go round and empty my recycling bin all over their counter making sure their leaflets land on top.

Whats funny is that my house is under siege from all this propoganda, yet after 6th May I will never hear from any politician for another 4 years.

Laughable, I think I'm not gonna bother voting this time.
