He's a year old now but still likes to pretend he is milking me...

Ive seen a lot of people associate that with milking but to me it just seems theyre bedding themselves down. Ive 3 cats and they all do it, mainly when they go onto a beanbag and lay down. 2 of my cats are almost 10, the others 6.

He'll only ever do it on me.... I don't mind i'm his "mummy" :p
 
All 3 of our cats do this 'padding' as we call it, especially when on a soft surface eg. a pillow, your legs, etc.

Kneading is normal but the OP's cat is actually trying to suckle him. I've never seen that.
 
My 13 year old cat does this, it hurts me :(
My cat also likes to lie on one side, and hump you. He raises one back leg and thrusts at you and this his horrible member comes out and he does into a hypnotic trance.
It's horrifying!
 
My cat suckles from me....

Kneeds and suckles, I wake up some mornings with wet patches under my arms. She seems to think my armpits are nipples.

Ah well, It is cute to be fair lol
