I don't normally read the Daily Mail but a quick google reveals it as the best article on the story.

What an idiot!! How anyone would set out to sea without some decent charts is beyond me. I really do wonder where that guy is now. Also makes me angry that money I donate to the RNLI gets spent rescuing idiots like this.
