Currently looking into replacing my Mondeo with something that qualifies for classic insurance, to save some money and/or get a more interesting car.

Can anyone recommend any good buys or alternatives to these?

Mitsi GTO TT
MK1 Toyota MR2
VW Golf
Toyota Celica GT4
 
RX7/8 - if you can afford the bills!
300ZX/200SX

not sure were the Golf fits in with the listed cars above? :)

However you dont buy any of the mentioned cars to save money.

Doubt you would get classic car insurance on an RX-8 - a car that started production in 2003!

Just looking for something either cheap and not rubbish or similar insurance cost but interesting, hence old Golf and GTO TT!
