I agree 100%. I got a ps2 just for SA when it launched, and then got it again for the PC when it came out, and never got on with mouse and keyboard. One of the few examples of a pad being better through and through for a particular game.
Hmm for me, VC is showing as back on special for 1.49 again ? And SA at 3.49
I just need Max payne 2 to go back on sale. i'll be happy then.
Just tried GTA 1 steam version, wasn't confident it would work (Win7 64bit) on my system as I didn't get the free from rockstar ver to work. Spectacularly crashes my PC with 0x10E stop error. Awesome

Not understanding why vice city works with xbox360 controler though SA doesn't. And why on vice city the resolution can go upto 1920*1080 while SA doesn't either. As wasn't vice city made before SA anyway?

Yeah same, mine BSODs with some video memory manager fatal error as soon as i select which level i want to play on win 7 on my PC. Works fine on my win 7 laptop tho, no choppyness/running ridicuously fast/messed up colors.
It's a strange game tbh, it just seems to randomly decide that it wants to work properly or have one of the above errors
, remember trying the download version from rockstars site a while back on my laptop and it was just choppy, strange that the steam one works fine on it

VC works with the 360 controller? When i had a quick try the right analogue stick wasnt working
, only had a quick 2 min try on it tho just to check if the game was working, will have a proper try now that i know it works .Well the patch 1.01 ver has support for that res but version 3 (steam uses this) does not have any support for 16:9 resolutions. So you could run 1920x1200 (16:10) okay. It seems it uses a fixed resolution list where as VC and GTA3 generate resolution list from your pc.

. VC doesn't seem to work with mine (the right analogue doesn't work anyways, and a few buttons like triggers i think). It's the same with GTA3 and SA for me too, most things working other than right analogue stick and i think the trigger buttons.Wish i still had my PS2 controller as that worked perfectly with them all iirc.
I'll have a fiddle round with it later if i can be bothered, if not i can just use M+KB for walking round and controller for driving.
Only drove down the road on VC, umm it was B and X for left and right, the LT and RT button's didn't work and didn't detect in control settings and yer one of the analogue sticks didnt workI know

Aside from the obvious multiplayer mod, which mods are worth looking at for SA?

Heh yeah, the prices he's listed are around 4 times as much as the sale price
Edit - You realise 4.24 was the price for ALL the games together, not individually yeah? So you gave Steam £4.24 and they give you GTA, GTA2, GTA3, GTA:VC and GTA:SA
