24 here and i live at my grandparents not because i want too but for the obvious reasons of being poor:p
Dont get me wrong i enjoy living with them and have a easy life and pay little rent and have most things done for me.......why am i moaning about leaving:p:D
Seriously though being a single handsome guy theirs no way i can afford to live by myself with a £200 a week job. I really am doing something about it hopefully making more money, im going back to college in september and in about 3 years i should hopefully be qualified in the trade im interested in.
So ill probably be about 28 before i move out...does that seem quite bad?

Anyway this goes out to everyone, how old are you and why do you still live with your parents?

I'm stuck at home (had to move back after graduation as I couldn't secure any good work) and I absolutely hate it. I'm cramped and feel trapped. Worst still, it's in a town I utterly loathe and I'm also a very independant person and much prefer being off doing my own thing. Until I find a good job, I'm stuck here and stuck living out of suitcases in a room no bigger than a two-by-four.

****ing recession.

I lived with my folks well into 25. I wouldnt worry. Some people find it embarassing, I on the other hand never wanted a mortgage, and renting seemed like a waste of money when the only benefit is that "i can make a bit more mess without being shouted at".

I only moved out last year at 27, increase amounts required for deposits meant I didn't really have any choice other than to stay at home and save. Not only that but it wasn't until a couple of years ago that I actually got a job that had a decent enough salary to allow me to start thinking about my own place.

A lot of my mates were/are in a similar situation, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

I'm 22 and still live with my parents. after Uni I came back and its good really, as its cheap. And atm I don't know where my life it headed so it's the est option really.

i live with my gfs parents, they have a house that is two nocked into one so we have no problems with space. the onyl rent we pay is for providing sky tv/phone/net which we would have were ever we are.

also, if you live with your parents long enough you eventually get a free house :)

I was 25 when I bought a house with my partner. Lived with my parents until 18 years old, then went to uni for 4 years then came back and saved whilst staying with parents again for three years.

Living with parents is ok but there is nothing like living on your own. I absolutley love it!

Im 37 and live at home with my mum...well she lives with me to exact ie since my dad left 15 yrs ago i took the mortgage on and had it transferred into my name so its my house even though my parents originally bought it.

Dont see a problem with it although i get the usual mummys boy jibe but usually i laugh it off as i am definitely not a mummys boy...cant stop her from cooking and cleaning for me even though i do tell her not to but shes old skool my mum...until i get married its her job to look after me :p

Suits me right down to the ground as it happens plus shes my bestest friend as well so always manage to have a laugh with her.

Go abroad.

I'm currently living at home at 22, have just finished a degree and hopefully starting a post grad course in September that should lead to work. I'll probably then move out after I've made some savings (25/26?).

Me 23, I could move out on my own but I dont think Id want to spend so much on somewhere so basic, and not sure id prefere living with others lol.. think ill wait untill I meet a girl whos worth moving out with haha

I'm still living with my parents (18). I wont be able to move out till im at least 21, i only get £200 p/w where i work so i cant afford to move out. You couldnt even get a garden shed for £200 p/w over here :p  plus im going to college in september.

I moved out last year, though still go back on occasional weekends. Most, if not all my mates still live with there parents. All 21+.

Im 21 and still live with my parents. I dont have any plans in the near future to move out.

I dont feel like I need to have my own space and no girlfriend which I suppose makes it a lot easier too.
