Glad Brown brought up the fact that the main difference between the Conservatives and the other two parties is that the latter would make spending cuts because we need to make spending cuts, the Conservatives would make spending cuts because of idealogical reasons.

Clegg's idea of the three chancellors working together in an office of financial stability isn't a bad one either - imo it would certainly provide more in the way stability. Only drawback I can see is who do you blame when the US screws up the global economy again
